The short version
We collect as little as we can. We do not sell personal data, we do not share it with data brokers, and we do not build advertising profiles from it.
What we collect
Server logs — IP address, browser type, pages requested and time of request, kept for a short period for security and aggregate statistics.
Newsletter address — only if you type it in. Used to send the notes, nothing else. Unsubscribing removes it.
Messages you send us — kept while we deal with them and for a reasonable period afterwards.
Cookies and similar technologies — described in the Cookies Policy, including measurement tags placed by advertising platforms when you arrive from one of their links.
Why we are allowed to
Consent — for the newsletter and for non-essential cookies. Legitimate interest — for basic analytics, server logs, and replying to your messages.
Your rights
You can ask to access, correct or delete what we hold, opt out of marketing, or object to processing. Residents of California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia and comparable jurisdictions have these rights by statute; residents of the EEA and the UK have them under GDPR. Write to [email protected] and we respond within 30 days.
Children
This site is not directed at children under 16 and we do not knowingly collect their data.
Changes
If this policy changes materially, the date at the top changes with it.
